The Origin

I launched a practice in the spare bedroom of my condo in Tampa, FL, in 2016. But the journey began long before I had a name for it.

Before VSNRY existed as a studio, or INGENIUS became the platform, there was just the work. It was driven by curiosity, instinct, and a belief that culture was telling us something long before the market learned to listen. Visionary Rising started as a solo-founded practice. It was just me—a strategist with a nonlinear career path that included stints at Nielsen and various agencies. My experiences led me to Apple, Microsoft, and category-defining early-stage startups. I was chasing a feeling I couldn’t quite shake: culture was becoming the most powerful economic engine of our time, yet nobody was building the operating system for it.

The Birth of a New Approach

I didn’t start this journey to run an agency. In fact, it was the opposite. I began because brands kept asking the wrong questions. Creators were undervalued, and too many people were building for culture without ever being part of it. For years, VSNRY became the place where I could experiment out loud. I architected moments, shaped narratives, and translated nuance into strategy. I built a practice rooted in the parts of culture that couldn’t be easily quantified. The work traversed music, fashion, sports, community, and early creator-led media. It was messy, emergent, and often wildly ahead of its time.

A Shift in Perspective

About two years ago, something shifted for me. The work didn’t always scale. The questions seemed to grow larger. The demand for depth outpaced what one studio and a collective of creators could deliver. That’s when INGENIUS was born—not as a pivot, but as an evolution. It’s a technology layer built on a decade of cultural practice. This system is designed to measure what VSNRY had always been able to see.

Reflecting on a Decade of Work

When I look back on the last decade, I see more than just campaigns. I see the practice that shaped my career. It has taken me across the globe, allowing me to experiment with concepts and enact pillars long before I had a name for them.

I see the creators, partners, and moments that fortified my theories long before investors, patents, or platform launches ever entered the chat. I see the receipts of a decade spent betting on culture before everyone else realized it was the market. I am profoundly proud of the work reflected here. But even more, I am proud of the system we’re building on top of it.
