Personal AI: From Launch to #1 on Product Hunt

The Context

Personal AI is an AI trained on the memories that move you—a personal AI that learns from your data to become a digital extension of yourself. In 2021, after raising their round, they needed to launch the product and hit key user acquisition milestones fast.

They came to VSNRY to develop a launch strategy that would cut through the noise and build authentic connection with their target audience across multiple activation points.

The Insight

Product launches in the AI/tech space are crowded. Every week, dozens of products compete for attention on Product Hunt and in tech press. The difference between a forgettable launch and a category-defining one isn't the product alone—it's the orchestration: timing, hunter selection, PR sequencing, and a user journey that converts attention into adoption.

The Approach

Phase 1: PR Strategy. We created an outreach list targeting top media contacts in Tech, Entertainment, and Emerging Tech. We managed detailed release and embargo terms, and developed press releases plus on-site content for the launch.


Phase 2: Launch Strategy. We built user journey maps and ideal customer profiles specifically for the launch. We secured a top "Hunter" for Product Hunt and organized a multi-launch effort. The strategy included securing placement in Product Hunt's "Launches of the Week" and developing an onboarding funnel to move users seamlessly from Product Hunt → Waitlist → Platform.


Phase 3: CES Activation. We extended the launch momentum into CES, positioning Personal AI for maximum visibility during the industry's biggest consumer tech moment.
